The objective is to pass along tips acquired from almost 20 years in the industry and offer students a game plan that motivates them to navigate their own paths in this rewarding and challenging field. A visit with journalism students at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida, to discuss media topics and career options in multi-media fields. The best part of the visit was the Q&A session and one-on-one breakout sessions after the lecture.

Every September, the faculty and students at Pembroke Pines Charter High School in Florida extend an invitation to speak to the campus media students about how story ideas are generated and executed. This year’s topic focused on breaking news.
